Welcome to Schroon Lake Serenity, a 3-bedroom, 2-bath, private year-round retreat located within the beautiful Adirondack Park on Schroon Lake.
This 1350 sq. ft. home with retro mid-century charm is surrounded by trees and built over a woodland stream. It has a glass panel in the floor for viewing the stream in the dining area. Modern conveniences include a Smart TV, WiFi, newer kitchen appliances, A/C & washer/dryer. Recent upgrades/renovations were completed in Fall/Winter 2023-2024.
Schroon Lake Serenity enjoys gorgeous lake views, both from the house and at the waterfront located less than 50 yards from the front door. The best is the private 100’ beach and dock, easily accessed by crossing East Shore Drive. Back at the house, a large, expansive deck with gas grill provides a lovely space for outdoor meals and general relaxation.
The master bedroom has a king-size bed with a view of the lake. The two guest bedrooms have queen-sized beds. All bedrooms share a full bath. There is a pull-out queen sofa in the back living room. Note: all the upstairs bedrooms have open ceilings which add to the charm of the home.
Schroon Lake Serenity is perfect for those who opt to rent in a secluded, quiet part of the Adirondacks that’s just a short drive to a local store, town, or highway. Ideal for families, couples, friends' getaways, and work-group / meditative retreats. There's plenty of room for a yoga mat (or more!) on the deck at the house or the floating dock on the lake. Kids will love exploring the natural surroundings - both the stream & the beach.
We want you to relax and feel comfortable at your home away from home. Feel free to watch the old VHS tapes/DVDs, use the games, and borrow books from the library. Get cozy in front of the wood-burning fireplace in the living room, or have fun roasting marshmallows at the movable fire pit on the beach. Additional amenities include two stand-up paddleboards, two kayaks (with adult life jackets), and a junior/kids' kayak for your exclusive enjoyment at the waterfront.

Summary: This was our third stay in this lovely lake house. Needless to say, we love staying here. Taking the kayaks out on the lake is heavenly. The kitchen is well equipped, and the bedrooms are comfortable and spacious. The brook running under the house provides a soothing background noise,perfect for relation. Kirsten is a great communicator and so welcoming. I’m looking forward to another stay here!

Summary: This property was everything Kirsten advertised in her description! We wanted for nothing during our stay as the home was fully equipped. There were even chairs for the lakeside deck and dock. The home and setting were beautiful! You won’t regret spending your time in the Adirondacks in this home.

Summary: We had a wonderful stay at Serenity at Schroon Lake! The attractive home had a great Adirondack vibe with a fresh, modern feel. The private beach and dock area were perfect for swimming, fishing, kayaking and RELAXING! The view was fantastic! We are already looking forward to next time!

Summary: Shroon Lake Serenity was the perfect place for our family: the lake with its private beach, deck and dock was lovely, and the house was spacious, comfortably furnished, and fully equipped with everything we needed. All five of us (ranging in ages from 11-70) got out in the kayaks, and although the water was rather chilly, we all went swimming, too. Some of us had shorter swims than others, though! We also enjoyed two hikes, and roasting marshmallows and eating s’mores on the beach, while the sun set and darkness fell, was a real treat for all. We thoroughly enjoyed our full four days and wish we could have stayed longer.
